Independent distributors have an important story to tell and OPEESA can lead the way to a better understanding of the independent distributor’s role in today’s marketplace. Our goal is to work with manufacturers, dealers, and the ultimate end-users to ensure they understand the value provided by distributors and maintain the integrity of the system.

OPEESA is a member of the National Association of Wholesaler–Distributors. This Washington-based association is a powerful voice representing the interests of distributors. Your membership will provide you with access to the numerous government and industry-related materials that impact directly on our industry.

“Look Before You Pump” Campaign from OPEI

With higher grades of ethanol available in the marketplace, many consumers are confused. The ‘Look Before You Pump’ education campaign cautions consumers that it is harmful and illegal to use higher than 10 percent ethanol gas in any outdoor power equipment such as mowers, chain saws, snow throwers, UTVs, generators and other small engine products. Many dealers are already seeing problems due to the wrong fuel being used.

We encourage all industry members to help spread the word. OPEI is offering a variety of logos and tools on a special website for manufacturers and distributors. You only need to register once for access to all these items.
